Newry-based company Media Lightbox offer an innovative web-based media asset solution for storing and sharing media files such as images, video, audio, pdf print marketing collateral, vector files, presentations, documents, fonts or 3D models.
The company entered the Seedcorn competition in 2008 and won the best emerging category and a €50k prize fund. Speaking about the win Shane Meehan, CEO of Media Lightbox said: “Our profile has received such a boost since our Seedcorn win. We immediately won three clients off the back of the competition and hopefully the phones will keep ringing!

Seedcorn, the largest business competition on the island with a €280,000 prize fund, aims to stimulate new start-up activity, accelerate commercial development and create more opportunities for private equity investment. The competition is the largest on the island in terms of the prize fund available and as well as offering fantastic cash incentives, Seedcorn provides invaluable support and advice from some of the island’s top investment experts and the competition mimics a real Venture Capital investment process.
