Focus on FP7 series

InterTradeIreland's 'Focus on FP7 Series’ has been devised to focus on specific areas of research within thematic areas that are known to either have strong existing North/South researcher links or the potential to in the future.

Given the need for research excellence under FP7, the series will see the top researchers of the area being brought together for a targeted briefing and networking opportunity.

The format of each event will consist of a concise overview (from InterTradeIreland, Enterprise Ireland and Invest NI) of the support mechanisms available to applicants, an update on the topic area under the work programme as it currently stands as well as the opportunity to network and hear the experience of an FP7 project under this topic by a previously successful applicant.

Participating in one of ‘Focus on FP7’ events will give you:

  • Sessions focussed on specific areas of known research ability North/South
  • Timely provision of the potential direction of upcoming calls under the various work programmes and, timescale dependent, the ability to feed back comments/opinions
  • Networking opportunities with peers from within your area of expertise
  • The chance to hear and learn from those who have been successful under FP7 in your area
  • Early stage development of collaborative groups going into the application phase
  • Raised awareness of the support mechanisms available from Invest NI, Enterprise Ireland and InterTradeIreland
