INNOVA
INNOVA is the All-Island Collaborative R&D programme aimed at stimulating, promoting and supporting R&D co-operation between firms, North and South, with the support of public research organisations where required. This support for funding collaborative research is expected to create a supportive environment for joint North/South activities and encourage synergistic and complementary flows of technology among partnerships and networks of private companies (particularly SMEs) to the benefit of the island economy.
The programme has been very successful, having already funded eight partnerships during its pilot phase.
Support Available
The second phase of the program which is due to commence early 2008 will have funding for a total of 15 projects with a further 2 flagship projects. Companies eligible to apply and who successfully gain project approval may receive funding of up to €300,000 per company (Total of €600,000 per partnership) for individual projects. The two flagship projects will provide funding of up to €500,000 per company (Total of €1,000,000 per partnership).
Programme Details
- Projects shall be considered by primarily in the areas of biotechnology/bioscience, however all applications will be considered on the basis of merit.
Full eligibility criteria and further information relating to the programme shall be available in early 2008 however those companies who are interested in the program should complete an expression of interest form available from InterTradeIreland..
