Key Achievements
- More than 1300 companies across the island have participated directly in InterTradeIreland programmes and reported over £147m/€184m* of added value
- Our cross-border sales and marketing programme Acumen has provided assistance to over 270 companies and secured more than £30m/€37.5m* in sales since it was rolled out across the island in 2003.
- 272 jobs have been created as a result of Acumen and an additional 550 are anticipated from current projects.
- Our technology transfer programme FUSION has helped 200 companies across the island and created more than £42m/€52.5m* worth of benefits. This figure is expected to increase significantly as projects complete and realise their full potential over the coming years.
- 15 high-end collaborative R&D partnerships have been established through our Innova programme. These include possible treatments for cancer, severe acute pancreatitis, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases and the development of a hygiene management system to help healthcare institutions to reduce the spread of infections such as MRSA and C Difficile.
- Companies that have taken part in our Seedcorn Competition have subsequently leveraged over €65m/£30m of new equity finance (check)
- Around 300 companies have participated in our public procurement programme Go-2-Tender over the past two years, winning contracts valued at nearly £15m/€18.75m*
- Our MicroTrade programme for companies with 10 or less employees has helped generate over £1.5m/€1.88m* worth of trade
- 133 graduates have obtained post-graduate management qualifications as a result of our programmes
