InterTradeIreland have teamed up with the Irish Times for a third year to acknowledge the people who drive innovation in their organisations by inviting companies, small, medium or large, operating throughout the island to promote service, product or operational innovations by entering the 2012 Innovation Awards.
Successful innovation is not simply a matter of coming up with great ideas. It is the ability to nurture ideas and make them work that truly distinguishes innovative business success. The Irish Times InterTradeIreland Innovation Awards 2012 are dedicated to recognising innovative thinking in Irish business.
The awards are open to all innovative organisations regardless of size, sector or location. In fact the competition is marked by the diversity of previous winners who have all demonstrated excellence in innovation - from patented plants through to service innovations aimed at reducing hospital administration.
The awards categories are therefore tailored to general business development areas and are open to applicants from all industries and of all sizes.
Companies can enter in one of six categories and each winner will secure a €10,000 Irish Times media deal and compete to win the overall title of ‘Innovation of the Year’ and win a communications and advertising package from the Irish Times worth €150,000.
For the 2012 Awards, we are looking for innovative business breakthroughs in the following fields;
1) Best Organisational System or Process Innovation
2) Best Product Innovation
3) Best Service Innovation
4) Best Application of R&D
5) Best Green-Tech Innovation
6) Best Public Service Innovation
The competition will be judged by a highly experienced panel including Paypal’s Vice President, Louise Phelan and Liam Nagle, CEO of the Irish based holding company, the Sisk Group.
