Deirdre Lacey

Deirdre Lacey has over twenty years work experience in marketing and sales, with over ten years in Business Development with Invest Northern Ireland and formally LEDU.  She completed a Degree in Business Management and a Masters in Business Strategy which focused on Economic, Business Development, and Entrepreneurship.

 

She used these skills in INI and LEDU to identify appropriate companies to invest funding in, with the specific aim of expanding their presence in markets outside Northern Ireland.

 

As a member of the Trade Team in INI Deirdre worked exclusively on export orientated projects. Her role was to initiate, develop, recruit for and manage trade initiatives to assist client companies sell their products outside Northern Ireland. These projects included: Food Company Development Programmes, Cluster Development, Exhibitions, and Buyer Events. She also worked with companies on a one-to-one basis to develop their businesses. 

 

She was closely involved in the “Fit for Market” food strategy group developing an Agri-Food strategy for Northern Ireland.  She worked closely with Bord Bia and pioneered numerous joint initiatives and sat on the Taste Council of Ireland.

 

For the last four years she has been working as a business advisor with businesses

offering practical management advice, to maximise sales and profitability. She works as an Interim Manager, Mentor, Business Strategist/Planner, Marketing and Sales Advisor, with government, groups of companies and with individual businesses.
