PROGNOSIS GOOD AS HKPB SCIENTIFIC HEAD FOR ALL-ISLAND FINAL

KPB Scientific of Thurles, Co Tipperary, have won €20,000 and a shot at a total prize fund of €280,000 after clinching a Munster regional title in the Seedcorn Business Competition 08.
The company, who won €20,000 when they took the Emerging International Company title, work in the biomaterials sector and plan to licence their unique proprietary solutions for the manufacture and use of calcium phosphates to the medical device industry.
They are now in line to win the top prizes of €100,000 (EIC) and €50,000 (EC) at the all-island final in Belfast on November 27.
