1st Annual Nanotechnology Symposium - Growing Nanotechnology in Ireland (Cork) @ NUI Cork

The first annual Nanotechnology Symposium in Ireland will take place on Friday, September 5th 2003. NUI Cork will host the first meeting. Companies and academic researchers leading commercially oriented projects will also be invited to participate. The title of the 2003 Symposium is "Growing nanotechnology in Ireland" The event is being jointly organised by The Irish Nanotechnology Association, Enterprise Ireland and NUI Cork. Strong participation from both the academic community and industry is expected. Intel, Enterprise Ireland, InterTradeIreland And Malvern Instruments are supporting this conference Confirmed speakers include Dr. Tia Keyes from the National Sensor Centre in DCU, Dr. Alan Mathewson from NMRC, and Dr. Yuri Gun'ko and Prof. Werner Blau from TCD. The guest speaker is from Intel's research facility in Portland, Oregon. Topics will address recent nanotech advances in materials, electronics and the biomedical field. sss
