Logistics Ireland 2004

Details : NITL (National Institute for Transport and Logistics) has announced details for Logistics Ireland 2004, the island’s largest Logistics and Supply Chain Management conference which takes place in Dublin Castle on Thursday 18th November. The all–island conference will be opened by An Tánaiste Mary Harney, T.D. Other speakers on the day include Mr. Jim Power, economist with Friends First and Mr. Denis Staunton, European Correspondent of the Irish Times.

The conference is hosted and organised by NITL in association with Enterprise Ireland and Invest Northern Ireland. The theme for Logistics Ireland 2004 is ‘Make Your Business Competitive-Supply Chain Management Insights To Safeguard Your Future’. The conference has been specifically designed to address the concerns of businesses in Ireland, from multi-nationals to SMEs, as they strive to overcome the challenges of increased competition in today’s global market. Logistics Ireland 2004 will demonstrate how Supply Chain Management can give businesses the competitive advantage they need to survive.

The conference timetable includes a series of sector based workshops (Food & Drink; Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices; Transport / Freight Forwarding; SMEs in Manufacturing) where delegates will hear practical examples of how Supply Chain Management can be applied.
