Get2Business a web site offering an all-island guide to small business support services was launched on Wednesday the 15th of February 2006.

The site, www.intertradeireland.com/get2business is a unique all island guide to business support services to help organisations find the information they need from financial assistance to training and mentoring opportunities.

Get2Business, which is divided into seven distinct sections including Business Planning, Networking, Training & Mentoring, Finance, Incubation, General Information and Specific Assistance, is a comprehensive database of enterprise and support organisations with direct links to providers on the island.

Dr. Eileen McGloin, Policy Research Manager for InterTradeIreland said, When working closely with so many organisations through our programmes, it became apparent that there was a need for a central database of information to help them to develop their business. In addition, Entrepreneurship on the Island of Ireland, published in November by InterTradeIreland in conjunction with Enterprise Ireland and Invest Northern Ireland highlighted difficulties experienced by companies in accessing all the relevant information on support, advice and training available for new and growing businesses on the island.

The report identified a lack of centralised help and information in the arena of Enterprise Development. InterTradeIreland felt that the information gap could be addressed simply by having a one-stop information source and Get2Business directs users to hundreds of relevant resources at the click of a mouse.
