Logistics ireland 2006

Details : The full line-up of speakers for Logistics Ireland 2006, Ireland’s biggest SCM & Logistics event has been confirmed. The key note speakers include; renowned strategy and organisational expert Dr Daniel Park, MASS Consulting Group; Mr. Terence Pye, Global Class A Manager, Abbott Laboratories Ltd, instigator and guiding hand behind Abbott’s global class A program, which has been recognised as being the largest and most complete implementation seen anywhere in the world to date and Lt Col Kevin Byrne, Logistics, Irish Air Corp. currently serving as Logistics Advisor to the Military Component of the Darfur Integrated Task Force based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The objective of the Logistics XP Case Study Track is to demonstrate where opportunities exist for collaboration between participating companies in both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland with the prime objective of reducing the distribution and supply chain costs and enhancing both customer service and ‘competitive advantage’ for the study participants. The session will be chaired by Ms Barbara Anderson of CBI/IBEC Joint Business Council.

The E Business/Online Challenge Case Study Truck will be feature Mr. Fred Hanna of Swiftxt Mobile Solutions and will examine the logistical challenges associated with conducting online business. The session will be chaired by Ms. Karen Hynes, Manager of E-Business, Enterprise Ireland.

The third Case Study Track will focus on Doing Business in Asia; this track will feature amongst others, Mr. David O’Halloran, Chief Executive Officer of the Asian Institute and will explore the challenges associated with doing business throughout Asia.
