Public Procurement- the landscape and opportunities in Ireland @ Malone House, Barnett Demesne

Public procurement provides an extensive opportunity for revenue generation for ICT companies in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. To allow members the opportunity to maximise this, Momentum and the All-Island Software Network, in conjunction with InterTradeIreland, are pleased to present an overview of the landscape in both regions. The event will cover potential project areas for ICT companies in the public sector by looking at past, present and future projects and will allow companies to consider how they approach the market in terms of profile, networking and potential collaboration with partner companies. It will also provide an introduction to the procurement process in the public sector. The key speakers will draw on their extensive experience in their respective regions.
John McCormack will provide an insight into the RoI market John is an Honorary Fellow and former Chairman of the Sales Institute of Ireland (2005-2006). He has over 25 years experience in the IT industry in Ireland, having held senior sales positions with Cara, Compaq and Fujitsu. John joined Kainos Software Ltd as Business Development Director in January 2005. He holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering and is also a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and C.Dip ACCA
Noel Brady will focus on the N.I market: Noel is Managing Director of his own company, Consult Nb1 Ltd, which provides executive support services to a range of national and international companies. He is a leading member of the business community in NI. As Managing Director, Noel brings almost 30 years experience in both the public and private sectors to the business . Noel is a Non-Executive Director with the Driver and Vehicle Testing Agency of DRD and with Real Time Systems Ltd. He is also the independent advisor to the National Council of Socitm.
Noel is an Honorary Fellow and Chairman of the Sales Institute of Ireland, Northern Branch and is also member of the Northern Ireland Committee of the IoD. He has previously chaired both the Professional Development and Centenary Sub-committees of the NI Division.
