Winners of ‘InBusiness Editors Choice Awards’ Announced

Irish companies and individuals were recognised at the third InBusiness Editor’s Choice Awards yesterday, Wednesday 10th December 2014. The awards honour outstanding achievement in the Irish business community and the winners were selected based on the broad criteria of growth, profile of business, range of services and customer care. With 27 categories the InBusiness Editor’s Choice Awards provide a rare opportunity to gather together representatives from a wide variety of business sectors. The event was hosted by Today FM broadcaster, Anton Savage at Stephen’s Green Hibernian Club.

The ‘Company of the Year’ award was presented to Dublin based CRH, a regional, national and international leader in building and construction. Siobhan Talbot, Group Managing Director of Glanbia, was presented with ‘Businesswoman of the Year’ and ‘Businessman of the Year’ was awarded to Ronan Foley, Chief Executive of IPB Insurance.

Newry Business Support Agency, InterTradeIreland was announced ‘Best Service to SMEs’. Dublin Business School was awarded ‘Business School of the Year’ and Irish company Aer Lingus was presented with ‘Business Airline of the Year’. AIB me2u received the ‘Best Financial App’ and ‘PayPal’ was awarded with ‘Best in e-commerce’.

‘Executive Car of the Year’ was presented to Audi for the A6 model and ‘Fleet Car of the Year’ was awarded to Ford Mondeo. Also recognised at the InBusiness Editor’s Choice Awards was Irish company, eircom Business Solutions as they were awarded ‘Best ICT Service Provider’ as well as receiving the ‘Special Merit Award’ for their partnership with Special Olympics. Electric Ireland was presented with the ‘Best Marketing Initiative’ for their campaign #ThisIsMajor.

‘Best Tourist Attraction’ was awarded to Failte Ireland for The Wild Atlantic Way. ‘Best Brand’ went to Applegreen and ‘Best in Retail Excellence’ was awarded to Marks & Spencer. ‘Best in Green Energy’ was presented to Energia and GloHealth was recipient of ‘Best Private Health Insurer’.
