Londonderry company is celebrating after landing a €2m contract

Hunter Apparel Solutions in Springtown, one of InterTradeIreland's Business Amabassadors, has landed a €2m (£1.7m)contract to supply waterproof jackets, shorts and trousers to 6,000 An Post staff. The company was established in 1936 and now has 40 staff.

InterTradeIreland publishes energy management report

InterTradeIreland today published its report on the energy management sector. This report considers energy management and energy efficiency services a new sector that involves businesses involved in measuring and managing resource efficiency through a combination of ICT hardware (e.g. sensor technologies) and software, as well as consultancy and efficiency advice activities.

Minister O'Keeffe announces €17m fund for innovative new firms

The Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation, Batt O'Keeffe TD, today [Monday] launched a new €17 million fund for innovative new firms to create high-quality jobs. The Bank of Ireland start-up and emerging sectors equity fund will help entrepreneurs to turn ideas into new products and services for export markets. The fund will be managed by Delta Partners on behalf of Bank of Ireland and the Government's job creation agency, Enterprise Ireland.

Louth company Suretank Ltd secures €900,000 contract in Brazil

Suretank Ltd, of Dunleer, Co Louth, has recently announced that it has won a contract valued at €900,000 to supply its CCUs (Cargo Carrying Units) to IWES, a leading international supplier of tanks and containers to the oil and gas exploration industry.

Barracuda FX has been named as the Best High Growth Company at InterTradeIreland’s 8th annual All-island Seedcorn Business Competition, the largest business competition on the island which took place in Belfast on 24th November. Dublin-based Barracuda FX has won the overall prize of €100,000 and Epona Biotech Ltd. triumphed as the Best Emerging Company on the island, taking home a cash prize of €50,000.
