The key finding from the Q2 2011 Business Monitor is that there are some signs of improvement in company performance with 26% reporting an increase in sales. However, the recovery is sluggish, especially for small firms, among whom almost 1 in 2 describe themselves as ‘contracting’, ‘in survival mode’ or ‘winding up’.
