Having owned 2 Pizza businesses and realising the need to constantly remind staff in this sector about all of the tasks that they often forget to do, Gabriel came up with the idea of Taskmaestro back in 2008, whilst lying in hospital.
Taskmaestro is basically a touch screen device which sits on the wall in a restaurant/fast food shop/deli counter etc. At the key times an alarm will sound, alerting the staff to a task which needs done. They interact with it and identify themselves using bio metrics.
This generates various reports which allow managers and owners to remotely view how their businesses are being run; what tasks have been done; which ones have not been done and who is responsible.
Today Taskmaestro has received £500,000 investment facilitated through HALO, and the product has an International Patent pending. First sales were achieved in December 2010 and the company currently employs 4 people.
